The Remler Scottie model 5300 "Convertible" was made in 1947 by the San Francisco radio manufacturer.
It was advertised as "The Worlds Smallest Radio Phonograph", measuring only 10" wide.
They turned out to be fragile with their heavy chassis and phono,
and are rare to find without some damage, especially the lid hinges.
It was made from white plaskon with the phono base made from marbled brown bakelite.
Black and white versions were also available.
Wires that lead into the lid connect to a hidden antenna.
