This is rare 1938 Majestic model 5T combination radio and clock.
The beetle plastic cabinet is beautifully marbled with orange and green streaks.
The back of the radio covers the speaker and is also made of marbled beetle plastic.
The radio dial only shows when it is turned on, through the mirrored clock face.
White plaskon and white-painted bakelite versions were also originally available.
The beetle "Onyx" option was designated as the model 5TO.
The model 511 used the same basic cabinet design.
