This round-dial Detrola model 211 rarely surfaces. It was made in 1938.
This example took hours and hours of work to bring to this condition,
after removing a thick coat of white paint that someone slopped on years ago. (see pics) Below shows the radio in a 1938 Knight Radio advertisement, showing that
Detrola Radio, like Belmont Radio, manufactured radios for many retail distributors such as
Knight or Western Auto, with their brand names added to the radios.
(e.g., Allied=Knight radios, Western Auto=Truetone radios, etc.)
The tube line-up is 1-6D6, 1-6C6, 1-25L6, 1-25Z5, 1-L45C.
