Belmont Radio model 6D120, pushbuttons, 1947

The Belmont 6D120 is another of Belmont's stunning streamline designs.
It was first issued 1940/41 as the model 642 and was
brought back into production after WWII as the model 6D120 in 1946.
This Belmont model was sold to other retailers labeled with their brand name.
The Delco name is found embossed below the pushbuttons on
the Delco model R1154 walnut version seen below. (Delco model R1155, white finish)
The Grantline 605 (brown) and 606 (white) and the Western Royal W642
are other examples of this radio with decal labeling.

Over the years Belmont Radio made radios for various retail chains who
assigned their own model numbers and applied their names on the radios.
Identical cabinets were sold between different distributors.
Airline, Belmont, Coronado, Delco, Freshman, Good Year, Imperial,
Lafayette, Mantola, Truetone and Western Royal
are some of the names found on Belmont-made radios.
These distributors bought radios from other radio manufacturers
such as Wells Gardner and Detrola as well,
so not all radios with these names are Belmont-made.
